Our recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was an experience filled with both charm and a few challenges. The central location of our apartment was undoubtedly convenient, allowing us to easily explore the local attractions and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the town. The apartment itself was clean and practically furnished, making our stay comfortable. However, accessing the apartment proved to be a bit of a trial, as the incline was steeper than we anticipated. Despite being fit and nimble, the beautifully authentic cobbled streets added an extra element of difficulty. We quickly learned that sensible footwear was a must, with trainers or flats being far more manageable than flip-flops or wedges on the slippery descent.
On a brighter note, our host provided exceptional interaction, ensuring we felt welcomed and well-informed throughout our stay. We appreciated the amazing outdoor space that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Despite sharing the apartment with only one mirror, which was a ‘face’ mirror in the bathroom and not ideal for two girls trying to get ready, we made it work. The good WiFi kept us connected, allowing us to share our adventures in real-time with friends and family back home. Overall, while there were some minor inconveniences, the positives of our trip to Albufeira far outweighed the cons, leaving us with fond memories of this beautiful Portuguese destination.
