Private Villa Lili Albufeira

My recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was a mixed bag of experiences, primarily dictated by the accommodations we chose. The bathrooms in our rental were in dire need of updating, as both were quite grim and failed to meet basic hygiene standards. It was particularly inconvenient that we were unable to flush toilet paper, a situation I had never encountered in my four previous visits to Albufeira, which led me to assume the plumbing was subpar. This detracted from the overall comfort of our stay, as using the bathrooms became a somewhat awkward experience.

On the brighter side, the location of the property was undeniably one of its strong points. Situated just a short ten-minute stroll from the charming old town, we found ourselves perfectly positioned to explore the vibrant streets filled with shops, restaurants, and the local culture. Additionally, having a supermarket and a pub conveniently located at the bottom of the road was a huge plus for our everyday needs and evening relaxation. The unexpected spacious roof terrace was another delightful surprise that wasn't advertised, providing us with a lovely spot to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area.

The pool area, although on the smaller side, was well-maintained and provided a refreshing escape from the heat of the day. Accessing it required either a venture out of the back door and up a flight of steps or a rather unconventional route through the main double bedroom. This layout was slightly inconvenient, especially when we were eager for a quick dip. However, the peaceful atmosphere by the pool made up for some of the logistical challenges, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our time in the sun. Overall, while some elements of our stay were disappointing, the prime location and pleasant outdoor spaces made the trip to Albufeira enjoyable.
