During our recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, we encountered a mix of experiences that shaped our stay. Upon arrival at the villa, we were initially disheartened to find shards of glass scattered on the plastic grass, remnants of a previous guest’s mishap. We took the initiative to clean up as much as we could, but the sight was unsettling. Moreover, the washing machine was not functional upon our arrival, which added to the challenges of settling in. We also noticed some decorations left behind by a previous occupant, and the villa itself felt dated and in need of modernization to fully enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
Despite these setbacks, we were pleasantly surprised by the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff, who promptly addressed our concerns by replacing the washing machine during our stay. Having familiarity with the area was a significant advantage, as we quickly found a nearby supermarket and some beautiful beaches to explore. The outside area of the villa, particularly the pool, turned out to be a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Ultimately, while there were some drawbacks to the accommodation, the support from the staff and the location of the villa allowed us to make the most of our time in Albufeira.
