Our recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was filled with both challenges and delightful moments. Upon arrival, we encountered a few cons that put a slight damper on our stay, such as having only one set of keys for the villa and no keysafe, which forced us to coordinate our outings together. Additionally, we faced minor inconveniences like an oven that wasn't working, an inaccessible safe, and plumbing issues with the hand basin and bath plugs. While these hiccups were certainly frustrating, they did not overshadow the charm of our accommodations.

On a brighter note, the overall experience was largely positive thanks to some standout features of the villa. With an early flight, we appreciated that Samantha's dad met us on-site to ensure we could leave our luggage before check-in. The villa was spacious and equipped with all necessary appliances, and we were provided with plenty of towels for sunbathing by the well-maintained pool, which was cleaned regularly. We also enjoyed a lovely selection of books to dive into, complemented by fantastic artwork throughout the space. The on-site bar and restaurant added to our leisure, and any issues we had—like the blinds—were promptly resolved within a couple of days. Overall, despite the minor drawbacks, our time in Albufeira was rewarding, blending comfort with ample opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment.
