Our recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was an enchanting experience, largely fueled by our stay at Villa 81. Nestled within a cluster of similar properties, the villa's location strikes a perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. Just a stone's throw away from the bustling "Strip" and the alluring Oura beach, we enjoyed the best of both worlds: serene surroundings complemented by proximity to vibrant nightlife and a variety of amenities. The sense of privacy offered by the surrounding fences became a notable feature, as the undeveloped grounds across from the villa, with their lush trees and grass, provided a charming view from our ground terrace, accompanied by the delightful melodies of chirping birds.
While our time at the villa was largely enjoyable, there were a couple of minor quirks worth mentioning. The squeaky doors might have been a minor inconvenience, but they could likely be attributed to our early-season visit. These little details, however, did not significantly detract from the overall comfort of our stay. The villa itself exudes a warm and spacious feel, especially the kitchen and living area which boasted a high vaulted ceiling. The compact yet cozy bedrooms, equipped with generous built-in wardrobes and blackout shutters, ensured restful nights on the delightfully comfortable mattresses—a perfect haven after a day of exploring.
Our daily life at Villa 81 was a blend of relaxation and small adventures. Although the pool looked inviting, it was simply too early in the season for a swim, so we made the most of the beautifully shaded terrace, enjoying pleasant breezes that hinted at the summer heat to come. We also appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which included both a filter coffee machine and a Nespresso machine added by our attentive hosts upon our request. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, providing quick responses to our questions and sharing fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. All these elements combined to create a memorable getaway in the heart of Albufeira.
