Our trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was filled with wonderful moments, despite a few minor challenges. One thing I always strive for when traveling is to leave a place as I found it—ideally, I would have appreciated having extra black bags and cleaning supplies available for the week. While I found a simple solution by heading to the supermarket for essentials, I couldn't help but feel that a few extra supplies would have enhanced the experience. The quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM worked well with our one-year-old, creating a peaceful environment for most of our stay. However, as luck would have it, two apartments beside us were occupied by guests who returned late during our final days, leading to some noise that disrupted our sleep. I wondered if there was a system in place to monitor noise levels, but it was a small inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

On the brighter side, our accommodation's location could not have been more convenient, just a short walk from the lively strip and a quick Uber ride to the historic old town, which we frequented during our stay. While walking there would have been doable, having a small child made the short rides all the more appealing. The property itself was immaculate and child-friendly, equipped with Wi-Fi, a high chair, and a cot for our little one. The pristine pool added to the charm of the place, and our host deserves praise for their responsiveness—organizing airport transfers and addressing any inquiries we had promptly. Additionally, the supermarket just two minutes away made grocery shopping effortless, and the safety of the area, with secure locks on the windows and doors, offered peace of mind for traveling with a baby. Overall, our time in Albufeira was a delightful mix of comfort and exploration, making it a memorable family getaway.
