Sao Rafael Holidays Albufeira

My trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was a mixed experience that left a bitter taste despite the stunning accommodations. Upon booking a beautiful villa for three nights at a steep rate of £3,600, I expected a luxurious stay. However, that expectation quickly crumbled when we encountered an unexpected €75 "processing fee" after already paying online in full. To add to our frustrations, upon check-in, we faced a rude and unhelpful staff member who insisted that we pay an additional €155 just to use the sofa bed, which we were willing to make up ourselves. With no fresh towels or cleaning services provided, and even the struggle to secure extra toilet rolls during our stay, it felt like we were not receiving the value we had paid for, leaving the impression that the beautiful villa was overshadowed by inadequate customer service.

While the villa itself was undeniably beautiful and impeccably clean, the overall experience was marred by its lack of amenities and poor customer care. The location, too, was a drawback; with no shops, bars, or restaurants in close proximity, we found ourselves spending €10 on taxi rides just to reach a supermarket to fulfill our basic needs. Ultimately, the delightful features of the villa were unable to compensate for the multitude of inconveniences we faced during our stay, and I would not recommend this place to others, given that what was promised did not align with our reality.
