Pet friendly Marina Coast Residence Albufeira

Our trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was filled with delightful moments and a few minor inconveniences that didn't overshadow our overall experience. For starters, while our self-catering apartment was perfectly adequate for our needs, we discovered that securing sun beds around the pool could be a bit of a challenge. Although we managed to snag a spot by arriving early in the morning, it was somewhat frustrating to see other guests claim beds with towels only to be absent for hours. This problem could potentially become more pronounced during peak season when the number of visitors swells. Nonetheless, the lack of available sun beds was a minor issue compared to the wonderful amenities our apartment provided.

The apartment itself was quite accommodating, featuring everything necessary for a self-catering stay, including a washing machine and a dishwasher, which were lifesavers for a family traveling with children. The air conditioning was fantastic, keeping us cool during the hot days, and the thoughtful inclusion of basic supplies like soap, shower gel, and even beach towels made our stay all the more convenient. However, one small detail we noted was the absence of milk pods for the coffee machine, which would have elevated our mornings just a bit more. The friendly host was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, providing us with useful tips and recommendations that enhanced our stay.

As for the location, we appreciated being so close to a variety of bars and restaurants along the marina, as well as having easy access to a supermarket and a charming coffee and pastry shop just across the street. While one of our party was on crutches, limiting our exploration of the old town, we found that Uber rides were a quick and affordable solution for getting around at just 4.50 euros each way. We opted to steer clear of the bustling new town, which was a wise choice considering we were traveling with children. Overall, Albufeira offered a perfect blend of relaxation and convenience, making our trip memorable and enjoyable despite a few hiccups along the way.
