Our trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was a delightful experience, especially during our 18-night stay at Casa Azul. Nestled in a tranquil location outside the bustling town center, the house provided us with a genuine taste of Portuguese life, surrounded by friendly neighbors, with delightful dogs and cats wandering about. While it was a 40-minute walk to the old town—a trek we happily undertook multiple times despite having a hire car—the scenic route allowed us to appreciate the local atmosphere and beauty. It’s worth noting that the stairs at the property required some caution due to the absence of a handrail, but this minor inconvenience was easily overshadowed by the overall charm of our accommodation.
We truly appreciated the attention and hospitality offered by Fabio and his family, who were always available to assist us with any inquiries and shared valuable recommendations for local dining and attractions. Equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, Casa Azul’s kitchen became our sanctuary for preparing meals, adding a homely touch to our vacation. The comfortable bed assured us of restful nights, while the compact bathroom, though small, was fully functional with a hot and powerful shower that ensured we started each day refreshed. Overall, our trip to Albufeira was full of fond memories, and the serene ambiance of Casa Azul made it an ideal haven to unwind after exploring the vibrant local culture.
