Balaia Gardens, Jardins Da Balaia Hotel Albufeira

My recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, had its fair share of challenges. Upon arrival, I was frustrated to discover that the reception was permanently closed, leaving me to navigate the unfamiliar area in search of the host's apartment to collect my keys. This process was further complicated by the delayed communication, as I received a message on WhatsApp only around 5:30 PM, right when the check-in window was closing at 6 PM. It added unnecessary stress to the beginning of my stay. Additionally, the property itself seemed to require significant updates, detracting from an otherwise pleasant experience. To top it off, the requirement to pay a cash deposit felt outdated and inconvenient, making me wonder if the owner was familiar with modern payment options.

On a more positive note, the location of my accommodations was a definite highlight. Situated in a quiet part of Albufeira, it offered a serene environment that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the vibrant local culture. Despite the initial inconveniences, I appreciated being able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, which were just a short distance from the bustling attractions of the town. Overall, while my trip faced some bumps early on, the tranquility of the setting served as a silver lining amidst the logistical difficulties.
