Our family trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was a delightful experience, despite a few challenges. The apartment we rented was situated a 20-minute walk from the bustling town center. While the distance felt longer in the summer heat—especially with young children in tow—there was a marina just a five-minute walk away, brimming with restaurants, shops, and entertainment to keep us busy. This convenient location allowed us to explore local cuisine and enjoy leisurely evenings without the full trek into town every day.

The apartment itself exceeded our expectations, with its spacious layout and direct access to a beautiful communal garden. This was a lifesaver, as I could relax outside while my children napped safely in their bedroom nearby, and the shaded areas in the garden provided a respite from the intense sun. With a well-equipped kitchen and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, including an en suite, it was perfect for our family getaway, especially with my mother and sister joining us. The swimming pool was close yet secure enough that I didn’t have to worry about the kids wandering off. The thoughtful touches from our host, including airport transport arrangements and a warm welcome with the keys, made our stay seamless.
