My recent trip to Albufeira, Portugal, was a mix of both positive experiences and some disappointments. Upon arrival at the property, I was struck by how devoid of character it was, both inside and outside. The clinical atmosphere left much to be desired, as the room presented no personal touches or decorative features, and the pool and patio areas felt stark and uninviting. The self-catering facilities were minimal, with just a single small food preparation knife and a not-so-clean cutting board for preparing meals. Additionally, the shower cubicle was frustratingly tiny, making it difficult to navigate without accidentally adjusting the temperature control. Our shower mat towel appeared to have been used by previous guests, and I was dismayed to learn that there would be no linen or towel change during our eight-night stay. When I approached the property management, Bedzy, with my concerns, their response was unsatisfactory, simply directing me to the owner. This experience left me hesitant about booking any properties managed by them in the future.

On a more positive note, the property itself was secure and situated in a truly quiet location, which allowed for a peaceful getaway. I appreciated the clean pool area, which provided a refreshing spot to relax despite its lack of decorative charm. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the owner, who lived on the property and was extremely nice and helpful throughout my visit. Their hospitality and willingness to assist made a significant difference in my experience. While certain aspects of the accommodation were disappointing, the owner's warmth and the tranquil environment offered a silver lining that made my time in Albufeira somewhat enjoyable.
